Blind Tiger – Cocktails
Prohibition-inspired pours made for the modern drinker. All of the flavor, none of the after-effects.
Sidecar: Many believe the Sidecar was created at the famous Harry’s Bar in Paris, requested by an army captain who rode up to the bar in the sidecar of a motorcycle. The sidecar is bright and tangy orange and lemon, with notes of brandy and bitters
Southside: The story goes Al Capone’s gang smuggled in a gin that was much harsher and less palatable. Creating cocktails with it required more ingredients, such as citrus fruit and sugar. The drink concocted apparently became very popular with Capone and his associates, and christened it the Southside. A refreshing mint and lime blend with hints of juniper.
Ward 8: The story goes that this drink was created to honor Boston’s Ward 8, a district that historically delivered a winning margin in the election of a powerful democratic boss in 1898. A smoky citrus drink with notes of apple, orange, and cherry.
